Kathmandu, September 3 – The United States has seized the plane of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
The plane was seized from the Dominican Republic, citing a violation of U.S. sanctions.
The U.S. Department of Justice has accused that the plane was illegally purchased for $13 million. According to BBC, the plane has been taken to Florida, USA.
It is still unclear why the plane was in the Dominican Republic.
Venezuela, however, has responded by stating that this is a result of the illegal sanctions imposed by the United States and has asserted its right to take legal action in this matter.
