Kathmandu, 13 June 2025– The Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) is set to take place from 30 June to 3 July 2025 in Seville, Spain, bringing together high-level global leaders, policymakers, and development partners to address critical issues related to sustainable development financing.

The conference will be officially inaugurated by Spain Government and , the UN , and will feature participation from heads of state and government, ministers of finance, foreign affairs, and development cooperation, as well as civil society organizations, private sector representatives, and the media.

Organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) in coordination with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the conference aims to produce actionable outcomes based on intergovernmental negotiations. These conclusions will be reflected in the official outcome document and the conference report.

FfD4 will focus on key issues such as mobilization of financial resources for developing countries, aligning financial flows with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate finance, debt sustainability, and public-private partnerships (PPPs).

The event comes at a time when developing nations, particularly in South Asia, are facing significant challenges in accessing sustainable and inclusive financing. The conference is expected to offer practical policy solutions and renewed global commitments.

There is a strong likelihood of participation from both governmental and non-governmental representatives from Nepal.
