Kathmandu, 15  June – After an Israeli attack targeting structures related to Iran’s nuclear program, Iran has also launched attacks in retaliation. According to The Times of Israel, the Iranian attacks have resulted in the deaths of 10 people, with over 200 injured and 20 reported missing.

Al Jazeera, citing Iranian media, has reported that at least 80 people were killed in the Israeli attacks, with more than 800 injured. Among the deceased, 20 are said to be children.

Due to the ongoing Israeli offensive that began on Friday, the much-anticipated Iran-U.S. talks that were supposed to take place in Muscat on Sunday have now been cancelled. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that there is no point in holding talks while Israel continues its attacks.

Oman had been mediating the nuclear-focused dialogue between Iran and the United States. Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi confirmed via social media platform X that the talks would not take place.

U.S. President Donald Trump posted on social media platform Truth Social on Sunday morning, stating that the U.S. was in no way involved in the overnight attacks on Iran and urged not to drag the U.S. into the conflict. He also warned Iran to resolve the issues through dialogue rather than launching attacks against Israel.
